Mr. Ciocca is a 40+ year veteran of the California Public Securities Industry who joined Sutter Securities in February 1995 and became a shareholder in the firm/member of the Board of Directors in 1998. Prior to Sutter he had served as Western Regional Manager of Public Finance at E.F. Hutton & Co. where he supervised a staff of 25 persons and as Manager of Public Finance at the regional securities firm of Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards where he had responsibility for a staff of 20 persons.
Mr. Ciocca has been involved in more than $25 Billion of tax-exempt bond issues for states, counties, cities, special districts, redevelopment agencies, airports, ports, and transportation agencies. Some specific examples of his recent bond related activities include:
- $141,050,000 Refunding and New Capital Tax Allocation Bonds for the San Francisco Redevelopment Financing Authority (2004)
- $76,690,000 Airport Revenue Bonds for the San Diego Unified Port District Airport Project (1995)
- $69,998,975 Taxable Pension Funding Bonds for the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (2004)
- $59,337,000 Refunding and Capital Improvement Tax Allocation Bonds for the Inglewood Redevelopment Agency (1998 and 2003)
- $55,000,000 (five issues) Mello Roos Community Facilities District Bonds for the City of Hawthorne (1995 - 2005)
- $49,090,000 Port Facilities Refunding and Improvement Revenue Bonds for the Ports of Humboldt Bay, Sacramento and Stockton (1997 - 2004)
Mr. Ciocca is a past governor of the Municipal Forum of San Francisco and a member of the Municipal Bond Club of San Francisco. He has conducted seminars on the subject of public finance at the University of California Berkeley and Santa Cruz campus; the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Administration and the University of Southern California Graduate School of Public Policy. He is a graduate of Oregon State University (BS - 1962) and the University of Oregon (MBA - 1964).
