From 1990 - through 1995 Mr. Selinger served as a founder and managing director of Jackson Square Capital Corp. ("JSCC"), a private investment banking and consulting firm specializing in corporate finance and restructurings, debt and equity financings, business valuations and expert witness assignments. Prior to forming JSCC, he served six years as managing director and a member of the Board of Directors of Richard C. Blum & Associates, a private merchant banking firm which acts as a general partner and investment advisor for $400,000,000 million of investment partnership and institutional accounts. He successfully completed numerous transactions and consulting assignments including turnarounds and crisis management projects, mergers and acquisitions, strategic operating projections and the purchase of $100,000,000 million of net operating losses by a Fortune 500 client.
In 1984 and 1985, Mr. Selinger served as chief executive officer, president and director of ACS Communications, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of lightweight telephone headsets to industrial and retail distributors, representatives and consumer outlets.
Mr. Selinger spent 20 years (1964-1984) with E. F. Hutton & Company, Inc., a major Wall Street investment firm. After building a successful brokerage clientele, he was promoted to Pacific North Regional Coordinator in 1969 with responsibilities in training account executives, conducting sales seminars and trouble shooting problems in various branch offices. In 1972, he founded and managed the E. F. Hutton San Francisco corporate finance department which, by 1984, was the largest regional corporate finance department in the Company. In 1979, as first vice president, he was placed in charge of all E. F. Hutton's regional merger and acquisition activities with offices located in Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Mr. Selinger successfully completed numerous transactions including initial public offerings, private, placements and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Selinger earned his B.A. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, majoring in political science.
